History
BRR and NGR Freight CC trading as Robertson Freight is a 100% BEE, privately-owned family business established in August 1999 by brothers Brian and Neil. Together with the current staff, they have collectively acquired more than 100 years of experience in the international shipping industry.
In September 2005, the company purchased its own premises on the Foreshore in Cape Town, within the Port of Cape Town perimeter — a clear signal that Robertson Freight is serious about its future and here to stay.
Through that experience, the company has built a large agent base globally, enhancing our ability to coordinate shipments from and to any corner of the globe.

Managing Member
A clear and thorough understanding of the shipping industry, gained over 30 years as a director of a large international freight forwarder of which he was co-founder, has equipped Brian with the insight to deal effectively with clients and give practical direction to the business.
Managing Member
Neil has earned the respect of a vast network in the shipping industry with his light-hearted but effective approach. He draws on 25 years of experience with two shipping companies, in both of which he was elevated to higher levels of responsibility.
Imports administrator
Lyle joined the family business to gain experience on the import side and to contribute his background in marketing and service industries. He has exceeded expectations and is becoming a seasoned member of the team.
Export and Sales department administrator
The door to service excellence — Mia has extensive shipping experience. Her attention to detail and ability as an all-round problem solver make her an invaluable asset to clients and colleagues alike.
Accounts Manager
Cheryl ensures the entire process is excellently managed financially and administratively. Her experience underpins the company’s view that shipping is a financial service, not merely an administrative one.
Accounts Administrator
Kim is Brian and Cheryl’s youngest daughter and has been with the company since the outset. She handles the fast-paced accounts department with outstanding efficiency and understands the support required for ultimate customer service.
Credit Controller
Michelle brings a wealth of experience in her field. Management is impressed with her capabilities and sees strong potential for her to excel within the company.
Import Operations: Entry clerk / Sea & Air Controller
Joining a functioning clearing and forwarding company was a dream come true for Rhodanthe. She joined in August 2013 after successfully completing industry-related courses and continues to grow in import operations.
